Disinfect and sterilize.
All sharp instruments used on any patient should be placed in a 1% SODIUM HYPOCHLORITE solution for thirty minutes, and later be sterilized in an autoclave. Endoscopic instruments require special care.
Report accidents.
If hospital personnel, as part of their work or by accident, come into contact with blood, bodily fluids, or body tissue from any patient, they should immediately inform their superiors.
